Common App is seeking an Associate General Counsel to drive strategic legal support, manage risk, and ensure compliance across operational areas including data privacy and contracts. The role partners with leadership to advise on product offerings, governance, and complex negotiations.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of relevant experience, a JD from an ABA-approved school, and active Bar membership, with a passion for higher education and nonprofit impact.

Qualifikationen

• US residency required.
• Willing to travel for twice-annual Common App Retreat.
• 8–10 years of legal experience in compliance, IP, data privacy, and/or related areas.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-approved law school and active Bar membership.
• Subject matter expertise across key legal domains in tech or nonprofit settings.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and digital literacy.
