Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate risk advisory within the Finance Risk Management (FRM) team. The role focuses on technology/data risks for FPDS and related finance initiatives, requiring the ability to navigate ambiguity and build stakeholder trust across finance, product, and technology groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Finance-related field.
• At least 2 years of Operational Risk advisory or Audit experience with data or technology relevance.

Responsibilities

• Support the FRM data risk lead for FPDS.
• Provide risk advisory services to the Finance Divisional Data Risk Officer and various data/product teams.
• Foster networks to provide advisory services to FPDS, business, and technology stakeholders.
• Perform risk assessments to ensure adherence to internal risk standards.
• Synthesize information to influence leaders to make risk-based decisions.
• Assist with audits and regulatory exams as needed.
• Champion ideas to improve processes/controls with emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities to mature FRM practices and governance.
• Provide risk education and support as SME to stakeholders.
• Report on health of work and maintain documentation.
