Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Capital Markets & Risk Analyst in the Finance Risk Management (FRM) team. The Associate will partner across Finance to execute risk programs, improve effectiveness, and influence stakeholders to make grounded, risk-based decisions.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, proactive problem solving, end-to-end ownership, and strong communication. You will collaborate with executives, support governance, regulatory exams, and produce governance materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 1 year of professional work experience, including 6+ months in financial services.
• 1+ years risk management experience in Finance, Compliance, Audit, Payments, or related.
• Experience executing complex, cross-functional projects.
• Experience with regulatory compliance assessment and mitigation.
• Experience with international risk reporting.
• Strong communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with process mapping or enterprise risk management systems.
• Proficient with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on diverse Finance processes using a risk-management mindset.
• Identify international risks and recommend control improvements.
• Support international risk management framework implementation and governance.
• Assess expansion efforts and provide risk perspective to Finance leaders.
• Coordinate with risk teams to align policies and procedures.
• Prepare audit and regulatory exam materials as needed.
• Provide risk analysis and reporting metrics to partners.
• Assist with recurring risk activities and process-level assessments.
• Offer risk advisory support for impacted business partners.
