Job summary

The Nevada Department of Transportation in Carson City, NV is hiring a Supervisor 1, Associate Engineer in the Materials Division. The incumbent will supervise technical staff, train Pavement Analysis staff for office and field-testing, oversee field-testing activities, and perform data entry into the Pavement Management System (PMS).

This on-site position requires a BS in civil engineering, an Engineering Intern certification, and several years of related engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
• Engineering Intern certification and four years of subprofessional engineering experience.
• Four years of experience at the Engineering Technician II level or above.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional engineering staff and coordinate activities.
• Train Pavement Analysis staff for office and field testing.
• Oversee and assist in field-testing activities.
• Enter pavement research data into PMS per policy and guidelines.
• Prepare drafts for budget and requisitions for equipment/materials.
