Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Construction Consulting Practice in Los Angeles, CA as an Associate Project Manager. You will help manage complex electric transmission projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and robust data integrity across multiple stakeholders.

You will plan, monitor, and report on cost, schedule, and scope, develop baselines, manage risks, and drive performance using Primavera P6, Power BI, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar (advanced degree preferred).
• 4+ years in electric utility, heavy industrial fields, or large infrastructure projects in project/construction management or related roles.
• Strong experience in construction project management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage projects to meet schedule, cost, and scope.
• Develop schedules and budgets; manage risk plans.
• Forecast, analyze variances, and report performance to stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external contractors/regulators.
• Utilize industry tools (Primavera P6, Power BI, MS Office) to monitor progress.
