Job summary

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Oakland, Houston, or New York office. Position Overview

CRA’s Forensic Services practice helps organizations uphold their commitment to integrity by supporting them and their counsel in responding independently to civil litigation and regulatory matters involving allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, misconduct, and noncompliance. We are recognized for deploying multidisciplinary teams of forensic professionals who deliver deeper insights and actionable value efficiently. We seek a Senior Associate to join our Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Oakland, Houston, or New York office. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage CRA’s eDiscovery technology suite to process, organize, analyze, and deliver data-driven insights, while having frequent contact with senior leadership and project teams as a resource. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

  • Executing on projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of data relevant to litigation or regulatory investigations;
  • Supporting engagement planning - participating in project team execution, analysis, and work product;
  • Interfacing with client personnel and implementing client discovery strategies;
  • Preparing client communications/reports for project milestones and senior leadership;
  • Implementing client data processing projects, including planning of processing specifications, search parameters, etc.;
  • Implementing client data review within Relativity, including the use of technology assisted review and data analytics;
  • Preparing and delivering data productions;
  • Managing risk by implementing quality control measures and documentation;
  • Participating in team recruiting and retention efforts and managing team morale. Manage the growth and professional development of junior staff members;
  • Assisting in business development efforts by drafting proposals and coordinating with other practice areas within the firm.
Desired Qualifications
  • 5-8 years conducting eDiscovery activities in large and complex environments.
  • Deep and broad technical knowledge of current eDiscovery tools and technologies (Relativity);
  • Familiarity of the complete Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle, including but not limited to collection, processing, document reviews, production, privilege logs, and matter close-outs;
  • Extensive experience preparing, executing, and quality controlling data productions;
  • Demonstrated proficiency of analytical e-discovery processes and tools such as conceptual searching, generative AI, use and validation of technology-assisted review, e-mail threading, and textual near duplicate analysis;
  • Multiple industry-standard certifications are preferred, with a preference for candidates holding Relativity Certified Administrator certifications;
  • Strong policy, process and project management experience, with emphasis on assisting senior consultants with day-to-day management tasks;
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to influence colleagues and implement initiatives across functions;
  • Ability to excel under time-sensitive and strict-deadline environments;
  • Demonstrates integrity, initiative and commitment in all interactions with colleagues and clients.

Work Location Flexibility

Salary and other compensation

A good-faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $152,500. Stating pay within this range may vary based on factors such as education level, experience, skills, geographic location, market conditions, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for additional bonus incentive compensation.
