Job summary

Morehouse College in Atlanta seeks a Program Manager to lead the federally funded TRiO Upward Bound program. The role designs and implements activities to encourage underrepresented students to pursue postsecondary education and improve high school retention, graduation, and college attainment.

You will collaborate with high school staff, counselors and community partners; supervise staff, manage daily operations, and prepare reports to the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in TRIO or similar college-access programs.
• Experience with low-income and first-generation students.
• Knowledge of TRIO regulations, compliance, and reporting.
• Budget management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and oversee UB daily operations.
• Prepare reports for U.S. Department of Education and college administration.
• Develop and evaluate program goals and objectives.
• Coordinate with target high school staff, counselors and parents.
• Recruit students from target high schools and middle schools.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff.
• Develop and monitor program budgets and expenditures.
• Coordinate marketing and public relations in conjunction with the College.
• Serve as program liaison and provide quarterly progress reports.
