Job summary

Florida Institute of Technology seeks an Associate Director of Sponsored Research to lead pre- and post-award activities across the full grant lifecycle. You will collaborate with faculty, administrators, and sponsors to ensure compliant proposal development, award management, and reporting.

Responsibilities include data analysis, system optimization, and strategic initiatives to advance the university's research programs. Strong knowledge of regulations and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Three or more years of experience in research administration, grants management, or related field.
• Knowledge of federal regulations, Uniform Guidance, sponsor requirements, and best practices in research administration.
• Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with faculty, staff, sponsors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer sponsored research and other externally funded programs across the full award lifecycle (proposal development, submission, award management, compliance, closeout).
• Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements, Uniform Guidance, and university policies and procedures.
• Review proposals and budgets for accuracy and adherence to requirements.
• Provide guidance and training on sponsored program administration and compliance.
