Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director of Scientific Communications Strategy & Excellence to lead therapeutic-area engagement planning across our medical channel ecosystem. The role partners with Medical Directors, Scientific Communications, Field Medical, Medical Excellence & Operations, and Legal/Regulatory/Compliance to translate priorities into ISCPs and execution-ready roadmaps.

Qualifications

Doctorate or advanced scientific degree with 7+ years of relevant Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications experience.
Strong understanding of scientific communications, medical affairs planning, and compliant dissemination.
Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

Shape and advance the integrated scientific communications strategy for assigned therapeutic areas.
Lead activation and orchestration of Alnylam’s medical engagement ecosystem.
Drive outcome-based alignment with Global and Regional Medical Affairs teams.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enable coordinated execution of digital channel initiatives.
Establish governance, intake, prioritization, and operating frameworks for planning and execution.
Monitor trends and inform evolution of engagement opportunities and test-learn-adapt decisions.
