Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director of Scientific Communications Strategy & Excellence to lead integrated engagement planning across the medical channel ecosystem. This role partners with Medical Directors, Scientific Communications, Field Medical, and Compliance to translate therapeutic-area priorities into ISCPs and execution-ready roadmaps.

The position is remote-friendly and anchored at 675 Kendall, Cambridge, MA when on-site.

Qualifications

PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent with strong scientific background and extensive Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications exposure.
Experience planning and leading omnichannel medical engagement platforms within regulatory-compliant frameworks.
Ability to translate complex scientific data into actionable strategic plans and updates.

Responsibilities

Shape the integrated scientific communications strategy for assigned therapeutic areas and translate insights into ISCP decisions and plans.
Lead activation and orchestration of the medical engagement ecosystem across channels and platforms.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, compliant engagement solutions.
Define audience priorities, belief/behavior changes, and content dissemination opportunities.
Establish governance, intake, prioritization, and operating models for consistent planning and execution.
Monitor trends, optimize engagement and test learn/adapt decisions.
Oversee vendors, budgets, and performance metrics for prioritized initiatives.
