Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Scientific Communications Strategy & Excellence to lead therapeutic-area ISCPs and integrated engagement across the medical channel ecosystem.

You will partner with Medical Directors, Scientific Communications, Field Medical, Medical Excellence & Operations, and cross-functional teams to translate priorities into execution-ready roadmaps. You will drive governance, analytics, and scalable, compliant engagement solutions with a focus on

Qualifications

MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent with 7+ years in Medical Affairs or related field.
Strong understanding of scientific communications and compliant dissemination of medical information.
Strategic thinker with executive presence and ability to synthesize complex information.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning in a matrixed environment.
Experience building governance, prioritization, RACIs, and operating rhythms.
Advanced project and portfolio management across multiple priorities.
Data-driven mindset to interpret engagement analytics and stakeholder feedback.
Experience with medical digital ecosystems and engagement platforms.
Familiarity with analytics/workflow platforms such as Veeva Vault, Power BI, GA4, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Shape and advance the integrated scientific communications strategy for assigned therapeutic areas.
Lead activation and orchestration of Alnylam’s medical engagement ecosystem.
Provide technical fluency in medical engagement systems and content enablement processes.
Drive alignment with Global/Regional Medical Affairs to define audiences and engagement opportunities.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to enable coordinated execution of digital channel initiatives.
Establish governance, intake, prioritization, and operating frameworks.
Use insights and performance data to inform evolution and improvements.
