Job summary

UNLV invites applications for the Associate Director, Disability Resource Center. The role leads a team of disability specialists, oversees documentation review, and coordinates accommodations while ensuring compliance with federal laws and university policies.

The Associate Director will supervise staff, interns, and part-time employees, and assist the Director with program development, diversity initiatives, and accessibility efforts across campus.

Qualifications

• The position requires a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or CHEA and three years of professional work experience with students in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train a team of disability specialists.
• Lead the documentation review committee.
• Direct reporting and data gathering efforts; assist in development and implementation of assessment tools for DRC programs and services.
• Ensure compliance with Section 504, the ADA, and university policies by coordinating accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Assist the Director with staff supervision and development; draft and implement policies and procedures; develop programs to raise awareness of disability issues; and consult with faculty and staff on accommodations and accessibility.
• Provide direct supervision for staff, interns, and part-time employees.

Education

Master’s Degree (M.A./M.S.) in relevant field
