Job summary

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Senior Associate in its Forensic Services practice to lead cyber intrusion investigations and incident response efforts for clients. The role involves performing digital forensic analysis, improving incident response processes, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

You will also help prepare client communications and support engagement planning, including mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years’ experience in cyber intrusion investigation or incident response analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Hands-on technical role as incident responder, network forensic analyst or malware analyst.
• Experience with data analytics engagements.
• Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute security and privacy investigations for CRA clients, including breach detection, threat analysis, incident response and malware analysis.
• Perform forensic analysis of digital information using standard techniques and tools.
• Improve incident response capabilities by evaluating and implementing new tools and processes.
• Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement to assist in criminal matters.
• Prepare client communications for project milestones and senior leadership.
• Manage risk by implementing quality control measures and documentation.
• Support engagement planning and management; supervise teams as appropriate.
