Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, engineering or related field.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or project finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including understanding of financial statements, valuation and corporate finance concepts.
  • Interest in power and energy industry; prior energy-sector experience is preferred but not required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to produce accurate analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual financial results across the CPV Group and prepare clear analyses of actual performance relative to budget and forecast.
  • Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and the five-year capital planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain key financial and operating metrics, dashboards and management reporting to identify performance trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations and analyses for senior leadership and the CPV Group Board of Directors.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial, operating and growth pipeline materials provided to OPC Energy for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Improve reporting, consolidation and forecasting processes, tools and models to increase efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance insights.
  • Prepare and analyze short- and long-term collateral forecasts in coordination with treasury, risk and operating teams.

CPV is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate Finance team. The Senior Associate will play a central role in consolidating and analyzing CPV Group financial results, developing forecasts and key performance metrics, and preparing decision-useful materials for senior leadership and the CPV Group Board of Directors. The role will also support the preparation of financial and operating information provided to OPC Energy for its quarterly and annual public reporting.

This role is part of CPV’s Corporate Finance team and may be based in either the Silver Spring, Maryland, or Braintree, Massachusetts, office. This position offers broad exposure to CPV’s operating portfolio and growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be analytically rigorous, highly organized and able to translate complex financial information into clear insights for senior audiences. The role requires close coordination with accounting, treasury, risk, commercial, development, asset management, engineering and legal teams.

The position reports to the Vice President, Finance.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Improve reporting, consolidation and forecasting processes, tools and models to increase efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance insight generation.
  • Prepare and analyze short- and long-term collateral forecasts in coordination with treasury, risk and operating teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, engineering or a related field; MBA, CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in corporate finance, FP&A, accounting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or project finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including a solid understanding of financial statements, valuation and corporate finance concepts.
  • Interest in the power and energy industry; prior energy-sector experience is preferred but not required;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to produce accurate analyses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and support senior-level discussions.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Collaborative and self-directed working style, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Compensation:

The base annual salary range for this position is $110,000 – $125,000 in the Company’s good faith estimate. The actual base salary for this position will be contingent upon individual experience, role responsibilities, and office location.In addition to base salary, this position allows additional compensation and benefits, including:

  • an annual discretionary bonus up to 20%, fully contingent based on individual and company performance,
  • paid time off (PTO) of 120 hours per year, hours earned monthly, and up to 13 company paid holidays, and
  • group benefits: 100% company paid medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 100% company match up to 6%, life insurance, short-and-long term disability, parental leave and flexible spending accounts.

The base annual salary range may be modified in the future.
