McKesson is seeking a Senior Associate Collections Lead to manage escalated accounts and drive proactive collection strategies. The role focuses on resolving high-risk balances, reducing aging, and minimizing bad debt while coordinating with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service.

The candidate should be analytical, persistent, and skilled in escalation processes. Location is fully remote (or mostly remote if near a McKesson hub).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in corporate collections, AR, or escalation management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance OR equivalent work experience.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with SAP & Salesforce.
• Excellent communication with executives and customers.

Responsabilités

• Resolve Escalated Accounts: primary contact for second tier escalations on high-risk receivables.
• Drive Resolution Strategies with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service to resolve delays and disputes.
• Execute Enhanced Collection Activities: outreach and pre-collections actions on overdue accounts.
• Perform Skip Trace research to locate customers with outdated contact info.
• Monitor aging reports and provide insights to improve collections performance.
• Identify trends and propose process improvements to increase recovery rates.

The Senior Associate Collections Lead is responsible for managing escalated accounts receivable issues, driving resolution of high-risk balances, and supporting AR to cash conversion for high value accounts. This role is critical in driving proactive collection strategies, reducing aging balances, and minimizing bad debt exposure. The ideal candidate will be analytical, persistent, and skilled in high-risk account management and escalation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve Escalated Accounts: Serve as the primary point of contact for second tier escalations, focusing on high-risk, aged, or disputed receivables.
• Drive Resolution Strategies: Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Legal, Customer Service) to resolve payment delays, disputes, and non-responsiveness.
• Enhanced Collection Activities: Execute targeted outreach and follow-up on overdue accounts, including final demand letters and pre-collections actions.
• Skip Trace Research: Perform advanced research to locate and engage customers with unreachable or outdated contact information.
• Reporting & Analysis: Monitor aging reports, track escalation outcomes, and provide insights to improve collections performance and reduce bad debt.
• Process Improvement: Identify trends and recommend process enhancements to streamline escalation handling and improve recovery rates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate collections, accounts receivable, or escalation management, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, accounting, finance) OR equivalent work experience.

• Proven ability to resolve 2nd tier escalation requests and reduce past due risk.
• Ability to perform complex reconciliations.
• SAP and Salesforce experience.
• Experience communicating with high level executives and customers.
• Attention to detail and demonstration of quick follow-up to study needs, commits to quality
• Adept in handling complex collections activity with a high level of customer service

Working Environment

Location: Fully remote (or mostly remote if near a McKesson hub office)

Working hours: 10-7p CT/8-5p PT

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$26.15 - $43.58
