Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a Senior Associate Principal Engineer for the Site Development group. The role offers remote or Lakewood, CO work with high autonomy, mentoring, and leadership on complex electrical power projects.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license with 7+ years in civil/structural engineering, and is proficient in AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP2000, PLS-CADD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• PE license is required.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MathCAD, modeling and design software such as SAP2000, PLS-CADD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technical Directors and the VP as a SME on complex projects.
• Review detailed physical, civil, and structural designs for substations and facilities.
• Create and review drawings, calculations, and materials specifications.
• Ensure technical standards are followed across the department.
• Provide field inspection and construction supervision when needed.
