6 Degrees Search seeks a Senior Associate or Of Counsel in Los Angeles for a focused business litigation practice. The candidate will own complex commercial matters, guide strategy, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

The role requires at least eight years of substantive business litigation experience, with independence and strong judgment to lead matters from inception through resolution.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• At least eight years of litigation experience in business litigation.
• Ability to manage complex matters with limited supervision.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and preparing for hearings, mediation, arbitration, or trial.
• Strong client communication skills with business-focused advisory capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business litigation from start to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, settlements, arbitration, mediation, and trial prep.
• Develop case strategy, assess claims/defenses, and align litigation approaches with client objectives.
• Draft and refine pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials, and other high-level work product.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and support hearings and trial proceedings.
