Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Minimum of seven years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, commercial collections, and workouts.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts civil litigation.
• Ability to independently manage cases, competing priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial litigation, creditors' rights, and collection matters from inception through final resolution.
• Draft and review complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, affidavits, settlements, and other legal documents.
• Appear in Massachusetts state and federal courts for hearings, conferences, motions, trials, and other proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, court rules, and case law.
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, borrowers, guarantors, and self-represented parties to resolve disputes.
• Develop litigation, collection, and settlement strategies designed to achieve efficient and favorable results for our clients.

Responsibilities. In this role, you will manage commercial litigation, creditors' rights, and collection matters from inception through final resolution. You will draft and review complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, affidavits, settlements, and other legal documents, and appear in Massachusetts state and federal courts for hearings, conferences, motions, trials, and other proceedings. Compensation. The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $155,000 per year, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Compensation may be flexible for candidates with substantial relevant experience, a strong record of performance, or an existing book of business.
