Job summary

Segal McCambridge is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney in New York to handle New York Labor Law (Sections 240/241) and general liability matters. The role offers autonomous case load management and mentorship from experienced partners in a collaborative team.

You will manage a full caseload, draft pleadings, conduct research, take and defend depositions, and participate in conferences and mediations in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in New York (required).
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience handling NY Labor Law Sections 240/241 and general liability matters.
• Strong background in civil defense litigation, including pleadings, motions, depositions, and discovery.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and case strategy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus.
• Dual licensure in CT, PA, NJ, or another jurisdiction is a plus.

Responsibilities

Segal McCambridge, a national litigation firm with nearly four decades of experience, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join our New York office. This role focuses on New York Labor Law (Sections 240/241) and General Liability litigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who wants meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and the support of a collaborative legal team. You’ll manage your own caseload with autonomy, while working alongside seasoned partners who offer mentorship, insight, and support.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a full caseload involving New York Labor Law and general liability claims. The role includes:
