Job summary

Enstar Group, a leading (re)insurance company, is seeking an Investments Senior Associate to partner with the Head of Alternatives and the Alternative Investments team. This role supports portfolio oversight, forecasting, reporting, and manager evaluation across Alternatives and Non-Core assets.

The position involves monitoring external managers, building asset models, performing performance analysis, and delivering investment recommendations.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years minimum experience in an institutional investment role focused on sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring external managers, with emphasis on alternatives.
• Experience within an insurance company environment is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in screening and conducting due diligence on alternative investment funds.
• Experience tracking sub-portfolio or sub-strategy within a broader investment program.
• Deep understanding of investment management, asset allocation, and capital markets.
• Progress toward CFA and/or CAIA designations is preferred.
• Knowledge of non-core asset classes: public equity, private equity, real estate, hedge funds, infrastructure, CLO equity, high yield, bank loans, emerging market debt.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing Monitoring of Existing Managers: quarterly updates and accurate ratings.
• Asset Modelling and Financial Planning: NAV, cash flow, gain/loss projections.
• Portfolio Management and Reporting: support negotiations, onboarding, and reporting to committees.
• Manager Due Diligence: develop market maps, conduct RFPs, and draft investment memos.
• Ad-hoc Projects: deliver additional analyses as needed.
