Job summary

Ares is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate on the Alternative Credit team in New York or Atlanta. You will monitor private investments, support deal teams, manage asset-level reporting, and build complex valuation models. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential as you analyze trends and coordinate with portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field.
• Strong communication, quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience with exposure to structured finance/securitization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the portfolio of private investments.
• Provide support to deal teams with assigned investments.
• General asset management including funding confirmations, monthly settlements, valuation, and asset-level reporting.
• Frequent communication with portfolio companies.
• Develop and run complex models for valuation and reporting purposes.
• Perform mark-to-market valuations.
• Analyze asset-level trends and metrics.
