Job summary

Ares Management Corporation is seeking a qualified finance professional to join the Credit team in a role focused on assessing investments, underwriting risk, and supporting the investment process from due diligence through to decision making.

The position requires strong financial modeling, research skills, and experience with asset finance and structured products. The role reports to the Partner, Credit and offers competitive compensation and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Superior academic achievement at a top tier undergraduate program is required.
• 3+ years of finance experience with direct exposure to asset finance, corporate credit and structured products.
• Prior buyside experience or financial institutions group (FIG) / securitization / structured credit investment banking experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Financial modeling & analysis: underwrite investments using cashflow projections and scenario analyses.
• Due diligence: assist deal team through diligence and closing; collect materials and coordinate with third parties.
• Research: perform company- and industry-specific research for opportunities.
• Investment recommendations: help prepare Investment Committee memos with analysis and materials for decision making.
• Portfolio management: support asset management and contribute to investment process improvements.
