Job summary

Ares Management is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate on the Alternative Credit team in New York or Atlanta, focused on Asset Management. You will monitor private investments and support deal teams with assigned investments, performing asset-level reporting and valuations.

You will develop and run complex valuation models, conduct mark-to-market analyses, and communicate findings to portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience with exposure to structured finance/securitization preferred.
• Strong intellect with solid communication, quantitative, financial and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the portfolio of private investments.
• Provide support to deal teams with assigned investments.
• General asset management including confirming fundings, processing monthly settlements, valuation, and other asset-level reporting.
• Frequent communication with portfolio companies.
• Develop and run complex models for valuation and reporting purposes.
• Perform mark-to-market valuations.
• Analyzing asset-level trends and metrics.
