Job summary

Paul Bridges Group is seeking an accomplished Senior Associate to join its retained executive search practice focused on Financial Services. The role involves delivering end-to-end search engagements from briefing through placement, with emphasis on rigorous assessment and client service.

You will work with Partners to map markets, build candidate pipelines, conduct outreach and assessments, and provide updates to clients.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of executive search experience, ideally within a retained search environment around Financial Services.
• Experience supporting or leading senior level searches within Financial Services, banking, or a closely related sector.
• Strong search methodology, including market mapping, candidate identification, outreach, assessment, and project management.
• Interest in commercial banking, community banking, credit unions, private banking, wealth management, or broader Financial Services.
• No sales or business development requirement.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead key elements of retained search assignments across banking and Financial Services
• Develop comprehensive market maps, target lists, and candidate pipelines
• Conduct candidate outreach, screening, assessment, and ongoing candidate management
• Prepare candidate materials, market intelligence, and client updates
• Partner closely with senior team members to ensure a seamless and high touch experience for clients and candidates
• Manage search activity with pace, discretion, and attention to detail
• Build a strong understanding of client strategy, leadership needs, organizational culture, and relevant market dynamics
• Identify and assess senior leaders across commercial banks, community banks, regional banks, credit unions, private banking, and related institutions
• Participate in client briefings and search update discussions

Position Overview

The Senior Associate will work closely with Partners and senior colleagues to deliver retained executive search engagements from initial briefing through successful completion.

This role is ideal for an executive search professional who enjoys the rigor of search execution, building credible candidate relationships, conducting detailed market research, and helping clients make high quality leadership decisions. You will have meaningful exposure to senior level assignments and the opportunity to develop deep expertise within the banking and broader Financial Services market.
