Job summary
El Conquistador Golf Club in Oro Valley, AZ, is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent to join Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality. You will assist in maintaining and constructing the golf course and help manage annual maintenance budgets.
Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of related experience and a degree in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant or soil science; valid driver's license and a pesticide license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or AA in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science.
- Three to four years related experience and/or training.
- Degree preference in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and constructing the golf course to standards.
- Help manage annual maintenance budgets and capital plans.
- Supervise maintenance staff in daily duties.
- Plan and direct maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
- Oversee planting and cultural practices for turf, trees and ornamentals.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and purchase sUppplies within budget.
