Job summary

MasTec Civil seeks an Assistant Project Manager in Jacksonville, FL to oversee construction work per spec, on schedule and within budget. This role reports to the Project Management team and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures on site.

Key duties include planning and scheduling, coordinating personnel and subcontractors, cost control, and documentation. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of heavy construction experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the heavy construction industry.
• Must have bridge, roadwork, and DOT experience.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Scheduling: study the project, plan, and schedule with management.
• Project Coordination: attend progress meetings and coordinate work areas.
• Personnel Selection: assist in staffing and enforce company policies.
• Cost Control: manage budget, review cost reports, and variances.
• Subcontractor/Vendor Management: negotiate and manage subcontractors and vendors.
• Documentation: maintain daily reports and project records.
• Public Relations and Safety: uphold professionalism and OSHA compliance.
