Job summary

Superior in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is seeking a Senior Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. You will support contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration on-site.

The role reports to the Project Manager, is located at a Cedar Rapids jobsite, and offers a compensation package reflective of experience and market norms.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of construction or project operations experience on a commercial jobsite (including internships).
• Degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; or a Construction Management certificate.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (bonus).

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFIs and ensure RFIs are integrated into project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process.
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership.
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite.
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock.
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership.
