Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from Cedar Rapids, IA. The role focuses on managing budgets, schedules, and resources while coordinating with the Superintendent and Foremen to ensure on-time project completion.

Based on a jobsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, the manager will drive project operations, oversee risk, and ensure safety and quality throughout project phases. Relocation support is available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction.
• Bachelor’s degree or related certification preferred in Construction Systems Management/Engineering.
• Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M-$50M.
• Proficient with construction management software.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate and manage project risk and escalate concerns with leadership.
• Create and manage the full project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
• Manage all project finance requirements including billings, setup, cost control, and change orders.
• Build trust with clients through clear communication and collaboration.
• Chair project meetings with customers for planning, updates, and reviews.
• Coordinate material availability across departments to support project needs.
• Provide leadership and clear guidance to all team members.
• Understand and negotiate changes within the project contract.
• Review estimates, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Ensure timely completion of project closeout procedures.
• Maintain a high degree of safety on the jobsite.
