Job summary

Superior, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects on site. The role focuses on improving on-site efficiency and assisting with bidding, contracts, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors.

You will report to the Project Manager and work from our Cedar Rapids jobsite. A background in construction operations and a degree or certificate in construction management are required or preferred, and OSHA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of construction or project operations experience on a commercial construction jobsite.
• Degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field, or a Construction Management certificate.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFIs and ensure RFIs are integrated into project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors on the lifecycle of the project submittal process.
• Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Capture project progress by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership.
• Work with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite.
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock.
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working with Project Operations and Finance leadership.
