Job summary

CHOPT Creative Salad Co. in New York is seeking a Sr. Assistant Manager to support the restaurant and GM, helping to lead a positive, inclusive team and deliver exceptional guest service.

You will train and coach hourly staff, assist with scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering, and ensure strict food safety standards while protecting the CHOPT brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or supervision.
• Certified in ServSafe and local food safety certifications.
• Strong communication with customers and staff.
• Proficient with computer or tablet systems.
• Ability to move items up to 25 pounds.

• Assist growth by helping to identify and develop trainers.
• Maintaining strict adherence to proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensuring safe working conditions to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
• Representing and protecting the CHOPT brand.
• Establishing staff compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering.

Job description

Base compensation: $20.00-$23.50 per hour

Hours per week: 45 (OT may be scheduled or worked based on business needs)

Qualified candidates must have:

• Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees and accurately exchange
• information
• Skill in using a computer and/or tablet
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• Capability to occasionally move or transport items up to 25 pounds
