Yellowstone Club’s Golf Operations department is seeking a Seasonal Senior Assistant Golf Professional for the summer season in Big Sky, Montana. The role supports the Director of Golf and senior staff, overseeing 35–40 employees and ensuring top-level member service.

Responsibilities include managing daily golf operations, teaching and club fitting, organizing camps and clinics, and upholding safety and ethical standards while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; PGA Class A required.
• Experience in managing a large staff (35–40 employees).
• Experience as an Assistant/ Senior/ 1st Assistant at a high-end private golf facility.

• Greet members and guests, maintain outstanding service and product knowledge.

Job description

Yellowstone Club’s Golf Operations department is currently seeking candidates for a Seasonal Senior Assistant Golf Professional for our summer season! Our season runs from May 31st to October 1st.

The Senior Assistant Golf Professional will help oversee and manage the middle-level management, as well as the entire staff for the Director of Golf, Assistant Director, and Head Professional. The goal of the Senior Assistant is to be the go-to person in all scenarios for the Golf Professional Staff and all other Golf Operations members (35 to 40 total employees). Their communication and organizational skills must be excellent and is critical to the success of the operation. There is a large role in taking responsibilities and tasks off the plate of the Director of Golf, Assistant Director, and Head Professional, so they are able to focus more on the overall member experience. The Senior Assistant will work hand in hand with Upper Management regarding discipline and positive reinforcement of the entire staff.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
• Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests, and ensure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
• Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
• Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance, and consistency standards.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. PGA Class A is required
• Experience as an Assistant Professional or Senior/1 st Assistant Professional in a high-end private golf facility is preferred
• Experience in management of a large staff (35-40 employees) in many areas of the operation
