The Country Club of Virginia is seeking a Senior Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations and enhance member satisfaction. This role involves supervision, member engagement, and collaboration with the Head Professional to maintain high standards. The ideal candidate will have strong golf instruction skills and prior experience in a private club environment.
The Senior Assistant Golf Professional reports directly to the Head Golf Professional, assisting with day-to-day golf operations and staff oversight. We seek a highly motivated professional who champions strong team dynamics to achieve operational goals. This role requires a highly visible presence, ensuring the highest operating standards are maintained across all aspects of golf. The professional is expected to be an innovative contributor to our well-established and successful golf operation.

1–3 years of experience in the private club industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Club Profile
The Country Club of Virginia, established in 1908 in Richmond, VA, is one of America's oldest, finest, and largest private, member-owned clubs, currently ranked 7th among America’s platinum clubs. Situated on 1,000+ acres featuring two campuses seven miles apart, offering diverse dining, 54 holes of golf, 24 tennis courts, 30,000 sq. ft of fitness facilities, an expansive aquatics complex, and three golf courses, including designs by William Flynn and Donald Ross.
CCV operates two campuses. The Westhampton Campus provides comprehensive club facilities including golf, racquet sports, fitness, youth, aquatics, and dining. The James River Campus is central to golf at the club, featuring the James River and Tuckahoe Creek courses, two practice facilities, and an indoor golf performance center. The Tuckahoe Creek Course will undergo a complete renovation starting Fall 2025.
The club has a rich history of hosting championship golf, including the 1955 and 1975 US Amateur Championships. CCV is also the host site for the 2016-2025 PGA TOUR Champions Dominion Energy Charity Classic.
