Franklin County PA seeks a Senior Assistant District Attorney to prosecute within the County. You will handle complex cases, advise law enforcement, perform legal research, and advocate in state and federal courts on behalf of the Commonwealth and County.

Formación

• Juris doctor degree and admission to practice before PA Supreme Court.
• Some computer training; continuing legal education required.
• At least three years prosecutorial experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist police in investigations and provide legal opinions.
• Conduct legal research and draft written opinions.
• Advise on drafting of criminal complaints, warrants and probable cause.
• Evaluate evidence for charges and warrants validity.
• Prepare witnesses and represent the Commonwealth at hearings and trials.
• Handle appeals in PA Superior and PA Supreme Courts.
• Represent Commonwealth in juvenile and other related proceedings.
• Respond to requests for legal opinions from law enforcement and the public.
