Responsibilities

• Acts on authority delegated by the district attorney to represent the Commonwealth and the County in prosecutions.
• Assist police in investigations and provide legal opinions.
• Conduct legal research and write opinions; advise on complaints, warrants and probable cause.
• Evaluate evidence for charges and warrants; sign criminal information.
• Assemble and evaluate evidence, interview and prepare witnesses for court appearances.
• Represent the Commonwealth at preliminaries, motions, trials and appeals.
• Provide community prosecution outreach and attend training sessions.
• Perform other job-related work as assigned by the district attorney.
