Job summary

Arizona State University seeks an Assistant Director of Student Advocacy and Assistance to lead advocacy staff, oversee complex cases, and ensure high-quality student support across multiple campuses. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Higher Education or related field.
• Experience in professional staff recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and supervision (3+ years).
• Complex case management experience in higher education and crisis response.
• Experience coordinating with university and community partners for student support.
• Familiarity with case management tools: Maxient, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate Advocacy Coordinators across campuses.
• Monitor case quality, documentation, FERPA compliance, and process adherence.
• Provide strategic direction for complex student situations and staff escalation.
• Build relationships with university leadership, faculty, staff, and partners to enhance services.
• Lead cross-campus meetings and coordinate high-level cases impacting communities.
