Job summary

Personnel Consulting Group in Metairie, LA, seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller to lead the corporate accounting team and ensure high-quality financial reporting across multiple entities. You will drive the close process, supervise the accounting staff, and coordinate intercompany, lease, and debt accounting activities.

You will partner with regional finance and executive teams, support external auditors, and advance internal controls and policy developments in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of solid GAAP experience.
• Experience with consolidated financial reporting.
• Proven experience supervising an accounting team.
• Multi-entity and multi-location experience.
• Experience as an auditor in public accounting or overseeing annual external audit.
• Big 4 or National CPA firm experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and ERP systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the corporate accounting team with direction and coaching.
• Manage day-to-day corporate accounting operations and ensure timely execution.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee intercompany, lease, hedge, and debt accounting.
• Coordinate consolidated financial reporting and internal/external packages.
• Lead external audit activities and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and accounting policies.
