The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis seeks an Assistant Controller to direct university-wide financial operations, including accounting, reporting, payroll, procurement, and asset management.

Reporting to the AVP for Financial Operations and Controller, the role leads the Finance Communications and Training team and oversees internal controls and audits.

This hybrid position requires at least three days in the Twin Cities office weekly; relocation is at the candidate's discretion.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus at least 12 years of related experience.
• Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, or related fields.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Ability to interact with senior leaders and external executives.

Responsabilités

• Lead internal control environment and policy implementation across University operations.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, and analyses for strategic initiatives.
• Direct and develop the Finance Communications and Training team.
• Advise senior leadership on financial challenges and opportunities.
