Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer at a large manufacturing facility. You will manage engineering operations, direct vendors and subcontractors, and lead a team to ensure reliable operation of building systems.

The role requires day, evening and night shifts with some overtime and on-call emergencies. You will develop preventive maintenance programs, train staff, maintain records, and uphold CBRE values in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Commercial real estate experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Experience with shift management or supervision preferred.
• Experience maintaining chillers, HVAC systems, boilers, and generators is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage shift operations and train coworkers and contractors.
• Review tenant service summaries to fix recurring issues.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for machinery and systems.
• Inspect systems to ensure operation within parameters.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to reduce disruptions.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate extra help as needed.
• Lead by example and coach others across functions.
