Job summary

Michael Page International (Canada) is seeking a seasoned Asset Management Leader to direct the operational, commercial, and financial performance of a portfolio of retail and lifestyle assets. You will manage asset-level P&L, budgeting, Capex planning, and Opex optimization to maximize long-term value.

You will drive tenant performance, optimize tenant mix, and collaborate with leasing and marketing teams to boost footfall, engagement, and sales across premier destinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience within retail asset management, shopping mall management, destination management, or commercial real estate.
• Proven experience managing large-scale retail, lifestyle, mixed-use, or destination assets.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, tenant performance management, tenant mix strategy and asset optimization.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L responsibilities, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage retailers, operators, service providers, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy and execution of operational, commercial and financial performance of a portfolio of retail and lifestyle assets.
• Manage asset-level P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, Capex planning, and Opex optimization.
• Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and long-term value creation.
• Monitor tenant trading performance and collaborate with leasing teams to optimize tenant mix and enhance asset performance.
• Work closely with retailers and marketing teams to drive footfall, customer engagement, and sales growth.
• Oversee day-to-day asset operations including facilities management, security, cleaning, waste management, and health & safety.
• Produce regular asset management reports covering financial performance, operational metrics, commercial outcomes, and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and retail trade analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Partner with development and project management teams on asset enhancements, repositioning initiatives, and capital projects.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams while ensuring operational excellence and best-in-class customer experiences across all assets.
