ROI Executive Search seeks a Senior Asset Manager to own a conventional multifamily portfolio (≈20 assets, 3,000 units), mainly in Los Angeles with holdings in Texas, Atlanta and Utah. This owner-side role reports to the VP of Asset Management and includes quarterly on-site property visits and active portfolio management.
You will drive NOI, pricing decisions and capital improvements, oversee third-party managers, and help build a technology-enabled asset management function as the business
An opportunity to take ownership of a substantial conventional multifamily portfolio within an established real estate investment business.
ROI Executive Search has been retained by a well-established, privately held real estate investment and asset management group with approximately $6 billion in assets under management across multifamily, affordable housing, industrial and commercial, senior living and marinas.
The business is entering its next stage of growth, including a significant change to its capital structure, a more active approach to acquisitions and investment in AI and technology across the business.
The corporate team remains lean and high-visibility. People are encouraged to take ownership, bring ideas and work closely with senior leadership, and there is real scope to influence how the asset management function develops.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Manager to take ownership of a conventional multifamily portfolio of approximately 20 assets and 3,000 units, including a significant number of high-rise and operationally complex properties. Most assets are in the Los Angeles area, with around a third out of state in Texas, Atlanta and Utah.
Reporting to the VP of Asset Management and working alongside the Senior Director of Acquisitions, this is a senior, owner-side role with full accountability for asset performance and long-term value. It is a field-based position rather than a desktop one, with quarterly visits to each property.
Working through large third-party operators, you will set the direction for each asset, drive revenue and NOI through active pricing and operational oversight, and help shape a more structured, technology-enabled asset management function as the business grows.
We are interested in candidates with 5+ years of multifamily asset management or closely related experience, who can demonstrate:
The business is open to varied routes into asset management, including candidates who have moved across from other disciplines, where the third-party oversight and revenue management experience is in place.
This is an opportunity to join a financially established real estate business at a point of real change, with the scale and resources of a major investment platform and the visibility of a lean team.
You'll work as a close partner to the VP of Asset Management, contributing to how the portfolio and the function are run, not only executing, and you'll see the direct impact of your decisions.
For someone who drives the agenda, owns outcomes end to end and enjoys combining financial performance with hands-on asset management, this is an excellent opportunity.
