Job summary

F5, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead fixed asset and lease accounting, including ASC 842 and cloud arrangements. This hybrid role partners with Procurement, IT, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial reporting and control design.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience in US GAAP, ERP systems such as Oracle and Coupa, and a passion for automation. CPA preferred; prior public company experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent is preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public companies or high-growth environments.
• Experience with close process, SOX controls, and internal reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Coupa) and AI/automation tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting lifecycle, including capitalization and depreciation.
• Manage internal-use software and cloud computing arrangement accounting and disclosures.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IT, FP&A and other departments to evaluate expenditures and accounting treatment.
• Provide support to international accounting teams on recurring/reporting needs.
• Own area accounting in monthly close and identify opportunities for standardization and automation.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional enhancements.
