Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions, a world leader in Signature Management and Power Conversion solutions, seeks an assembler to build products per engineering drawings. You will work with electronic components, perform precision assembly, and maintain a clean, safe work area on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires soldering and welding experience, familiarity with basic measurement tools, and a willingness to meet strict quality standards for defense-related manufacturing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment or technical certificate.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gauges such as multimeters, torque and force gauges.
  • Soldering and welding experience required.
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided.
  • Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.
  • Maintains a neat, safe and organized work area.
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
  • Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Mounts assembled components on chassis panel.
  • Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between leads and other components.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases, housings, and cans.
  • Assembles and attaches hardware to assemblies.
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching and color-coding parts and assemblies.
  • Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided
  • Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems
  • Maintains a neat, safe and organized work area
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device
  • Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place
  • Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panel
  • Connects component led wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases, housings, and cans
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches to assemblies
  • Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching and color-coding parts and assemblies
  • Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor
Required Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gauges such as multimeters, torque and force gauges, etc
  • Soldering and welding experience required
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired Skills
  • Experience as an assembler in defense manufacturing or aerospace
  • Experience with spray booth painting, conformal coating
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for an extending period
  • Ability to work with your hands in a repetitive cycle
  • Ability to stand and walk
