Leonardo DRS is seeking a Senior Assembler in San Diego to deliver high-quality work safely, on time, and within budget. You will follow established procedures, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to meet customer commitments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years in a related specialty, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 5+ years in a specialty area (e.g., welding, tool making).
• Experience following written work instructions and procedures is expected.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards with focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
• Follow written work instructions and process flow instructions.
• Work with minimal supervision on non-routine duties and adapt procedures to meet special needs.
• Communicate effectively with other departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Sales).
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to assemble components and sub-assemblies.
• Support, train, and mentor lower level employees as needed.
