Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Solution Design Controls Engineer to join our Customer Service Solution Development team and estimate solutions for ASRS projects across the United States.

The role focuses on storage and retrieval machines, on-board and off-board control systems, and requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 8+ years in controls and material handling. Expect travel up to 20% to Dematic locations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in controls engineering and material handling.
• Experience designing and commissioning automated material handling systems (electrical design, PLC, HMI, drive and motion controls).
• Experience with estimating projects (hours, resources).
• Proficient in Rockwell RSLogix programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Understand complex systems integrating electrical controls hardware, programming and software to estimate complete controls solutions.
• Read schematics and PLC programs and follow up on technical details.
• Provide estimates for semi-complex projects to the solution development team.
• Transfer knowledge and provide guidance for processes and product applications.
• Travel up to 20% to various Dematic locations across the United States.
