Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Senior Solution Design Controls Engineer to develop modernization and lifecycle solutions for ASRS systems. You will create controls concepts, define requirements, and estimate solutions for SRMs, Dematic Multishuttle, AutoStore, conveyors, and WCS integrations.

The role is part of Dematic’s Lifecycle Solutions and Services group, with opportunities for travel and collaboration across internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate ASRS systems and customer requirements to identify risks and modernization needs.
• Develop controls modernization concepts and define hardware/software interfaces and requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, software, execution and external partners to deliver controls solutions for standalone or integrated projects.
• Own controls solution definition, equipment requirements, BOM, cost estimates, schedule, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Provide post-award handoff of the solution, assumptions, and technical requirements to execution teams.
• Share knowledge and guide colleagues on ASRS controls, estimating, and solution development.
• Manage multiple opportunities with accurate schedules and risk assessments.
• Travel up to 20% within the United States.
