Dematic seeks a Senior Solution Design Controls Engineer to develop modernization and lifecycle solutions for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). You will create controls concepts, requirements, and estimates for SRMs, Dematic Multishuttle, AutoStore, and related systems.

Responsibilities include defining hardware/software interfaces, coordinating with partners, owning BOM and cost estimates, and ensuring a clear handoff to execution teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or related field or equivalent education and experience in controls and material-handling systems.
• 9+ years of applicable experience in controls engineering, material handling, estimating, commissioning, or related disciplines in automated material-handling or industrial automation systems.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, drives, safety controls, and industrial communications; experience with Rockwell, Siemens, or comparable platforms.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PLC programs, and translate technical information into clear requirements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to define requirements and present technical options.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and tools used for technical documentation, cost estimates, and customer proposals.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate installed ASRS systems, customer requirements, and field conditions to identify risks and modernization opportunities.
• Develop controls modernization concepts and define hardware, software, interfaces, and implementation requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical, software, and external partners to deliver controls solutions.
• Own the controls solution definition, equipment requirements, BOM, cost estimate, schedule, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Provide a clear post-award handoff of the solution to execution teams.
• Share knowledge and guide colleagues on ASRS controls applications and estimation practices.
• Manage multiple opportunities with accurate schedules, risk assessments, and forecasts.
• Travel up to 20% to customer and Dematic locations within the United States.
