Job summary

Thompson-Arthur Paving and Construction, a CRH company, is seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman/Foreperson based in Greensboro area to supervise crews shaping highways, streets and parking surfaces. You’ll manage safety, quality, and daily production while coordinating trucks, materials and crew tasks across job sites.

The role demands 3–5 years of paving experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans and keep precise records.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of paving experience required.
• Experience in private/commercial paving; MOT training/experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and read instructions.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Maintain time and material records.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety standards are met and promote a safe work environment.
• Ensure crew safety and public safety at job sites.
• Maintain high quality standards for completed work.
• Train new crew members.
• Calculate trucks needed to haul asphalt and analyze site logistics.
• Inspect progress and ensure schedules and contracts are met.
• Supervise crew activities and manage job costing.
• Document time and materials for daily reporting.
• Enforce company policies and recommend process improvements.
• Directly supervise 7 to 14 asphalt paving staff.
