Senior ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer – Applied Research and Technology (ART) Microelectronics Technology Team
Location: Fort Wayne, IN; Onsite. U.S. citizenship required; active DoD Secret clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect verification environments using SystemVerilog with OVM/UVM.
- Create written test plans, test cases, and track code and functional coverage.
- Develop testbenches for RTL blocks using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
- Collaborate with design engineers for integration and validation of ASIC/FPGA solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Lead project verification teams: break down work, plan activities, report status.
- Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
Qualifications
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) plus minimum 5 years relevant experience; or advanced degree plus minimum 3 years.
- Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret) required.
- Proven experience developing and simulating RTL designs using VHDL and/or Verilog in professional FPGA/ASIC environments.
- Experience designing, implementing, and executing verification testbenches for RTL blocks.
- Knowledge of chip‑level verification methodologies: constrained‑random testing, functional coverage, assertion‑based verification.
- Proficiency with revision control tools (Git, Subversion).
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with high‑speed digital interfaces and protocols (DDR, PCIe, Ethernet).
- Experience with ASIC/FPGA lab validation and debugging.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard simulation and synthesis tools (QuestaSim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
- Background in aerospace, defense, or mission‑critical systems.
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
