Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Bloomington, Minnesota, is seeking an experienced engineer to design, analyze, and validate diagnostics, firmware, simulators, and emulators for Slingshot ASICs and boards used in HPC and AI clusters.

You will contribute to product definition, implementation, and bring-up of NIC and switch diagnostics, working with ASIC, board, and software teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in ASIC diagnostics or silicon validation.
• Proficient C programmer and Python in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of NIC, Ethernet, and SerDes development and debugging.
• Experience with Linux device drivers and switch development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and is responsible for all stages of design, development, and test for complex products, solutions, and platforms.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality
• Provides technical expertise along with the overall architecture design and platform leadership to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Provides leadership of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for prototypes and products.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members to set an example of design and development innovation and excellence.
• Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the ASIC firmware, diagnostic, simulation and emulation organization.
