Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is seeking a Senior ASIC Diagnostic Engineer to design, analyze, and test diagnostics, firmware, simulators and emulators for Slingshot high-performance ASICs and boards. You will collaborate with ASIC, board, and software teams in a fast-paced Agile environment to define, implement, and bring up NIC and switch diagnostics and firmware.

The role requires expert C programming and Python in Linux, strong problem-solving, and deep knowledge of NIC/Ethernet/SerDes,

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
6+ years of experience in ASIC diagnostics or silicon validation
Expert C programming and Python in a Linux environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of NIC, Ethernet, and SerDes development and debugging
Experience with Linux drivers and switch development
Ability to lead and mentor engineers in a cross-functional team

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise across design, development and test for complex products and platforms
Review designs for compliance with guidelines and improve product quality
Lead architecture and platform decisions on cross-organization projects
Manage a project team of engineers and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions
Mentor less experienced staff to promote innovation and excellence
Participate in selecting future technical leaders
Drive adoption of new technologies in ASIC firmware, diagnostics, simulation and emulation
